Default WTB - ST1300A within a few hours drive from Louisville, KY

I've just sold my Goldwing, now I'm ready to by an ST. Preferably an 04 to 07 with under 25k miles. I don't mind driving 4 or 5 hours max to pick it up.
I've talked with Unclewillie who posted his 07 for sale. Great bike but it's about a 10 hr drive for me. Not impossible, just far.

Thanks,
Kevin

I am not saying it cannot happen but it is unusual to find an ST with such low miles. Most of these bikes get ridden.

May I ask what makes you restrict your search to those 3 year models?

Now THAT has me tempted! I always loved the '05 color best even though it was much slower than the '04 Blue. IF I were in the market... But I am not.

Only reason for listing those years is price. Should have included '03 in the list also. I've seen many for sale within those years with low miles, but no ABS. I know it may be a tall order, but I'll set that as my goal and adjust from there.

Just making sure you know this, in '03 only the ABS models had the electric windshield. That would be a deal breaker for me although they can be retrofitted.

Another thing worth mentioning, 25K miles on an ST is nothing. 50K, 100K, that is nothing. I understand wanting a "low mileage" bike and they usually look better than one with lots of road time but mechanically these things last forever.

Good luck with your search. Remember, the blue ones are the fastest!

There's a reason I bought a Goldwing years ago. They take the miles and just go and go. I see the STs are no different there.
Blue is the fastest....of course. Everyone knows that. But what is the quickest?
I appreciate the info Redfish.

Silver is the quickest. Like in Quicksilver engines and other quick quicksilver things...

Did you ever find your ST? I have a 2007 and am thinking about selling. Just over 25K and just a wonderful ride. I hate to sell, but time has come to clean out the garage a bit.
