Default Progressive squeaks

Just installed a new Progressive shock - works fine but it squeaks really bad. When I move the suspension, I can feel the squeak vibration in the spring. Other than this, it works fine. any ideas as to what causes the squeak - it drives me nuts!?

I would say something's wrong, but that's not really helpful, is it? As it's a new shock, I'd call the guys that made it. Ask about it. They may (should) tell you to send it back.

I put Progressive springs in my forks once (an old interceptor) and they squeaked horribly. I called Progressive and they told me to flip the springs upside down. Worked like a charm. Wonder if a similar flip would work for the shock?

That's it, his shock is upside down.
